5/9: The notes from the meeting with Peter Hoening and Laura Keeley-Saldana are posted. Go to the negotiations with ECEP link below. This is especially important for the parents who are immediately affected by the proposed elimination of the Student Rate to read. We would love to hear the effect these negotiations are having on your ability to stay in the program.

5/2: The Graduate Assembly has fast-tracked and voted unanimously in favor of our
resolution document! We will be writing a letter from the GA delegates to the Chancellor on behalf of our group by Fri 5/9. This letter will be presented to the Chancellor in his meeting with the delegates on Fri 5/16.
5/1: Graduate Assembly meeting is tonight at 5:30 PM, with food (sushi) served at 5 PM. Our resolution will be presented in this meeting, which will take place in the ASUC Senate Chamber, in Eshelman Hall. All are invited.
4/30: FC attended tonight's
ASUC Senate meeting and gave a brief account of the current childcare fee crisis. No action was taken at that meeting, but our contact info was left with the Senators. At the least, addressing the ASUC Senate will help raise awareness about our situation among undergraduates who are politically/administratively involved at Berkeley.
4/29: Graduate Town Hall Meeting with the Vice Chancellor of Equity and Inclusion. This event will be held on Fri 5/2 from 1-4 PM. You must RSVP for this event–walk-in registration is not available! To RSVP, send an email to
amypeterson@berkeley.edu. We are planning to voice our concerns regarding equity and inclusion for student parents at this meeting, with specific emphasis on the impact of the proposed ECEP fee increase.
4/25: A meeting with Laura Keeley-Saldana (director of ECEP) and Peter Hoenig (Interim Associate VC for RSSP) will be held Mon 4/28 12:30 at the ECEP administrative office. Please see if you can attend!
4/25: We held a group meeting on Thu 4/24 to finalize the resolution document; the paper was sent out to our GA contacts today.
